Career History
Kevin Panet began his career in Human Resources, as a
HR generalist with United States Air Force. As the USAF
introduced Total Quality Management (TQM), he
transitioned into a training and organizational development
role, completing 12 years of faithful service with several
commendation medals and an honorable discharge.
•At Ownit Mortgage Solutions, managed a $1.3 million budget,
supervising 3 employees, while providing training and
marketing support to over 600 employees at multiple sites
across the United States. Streamlined several functions
reducing costs by 10%, saving over $100,000

•Delivered a 2-week sales training course at Ownit for $33,000,
enabling new employees to produce 123 loans, funding
$45,957,713.

Next, Kevin worked for BD Systems, as an Organizational
Development consultant, providing services to the United
States government, where he grew a profitable new
business unit. He was then selected to assume a
management role with Special Devices, Inc., manufacturing
explosive devices. Desiring to work for a larger world-class
organization, Kevin joined The Boeing Company as an
Employee Involvement Coach, helping the C-17
manufacturing team win the Malcolm Baldridge National
Quality Award. Still with The Boeing Company, Kevin
transferred to Rocketdyne Propulsion, where he worked as
a HR generalist, supporting the RS-68 engine development
program and Space Shuttle Main Engine program.
Recognized for his talents at management development and
fostering positive employee relations, he was then hired at
Blue Cross of California as a Human Resources Manager.
When selected as a training manager for the fast-growing
WMC Mortgage, he helped to increase the company value
from $20m to over $800m. He was invited to repeat this
success at Ownit Mortgage Solutions as their training
manager. Sadly, with the decline of the mortgage industry,
both companies were closed.
After a few years exploring an entrepreneurial career in
sales, representing First Magnus Bank, Aflac and Farmers
Insurance, Kevin rejoined the HR profession, providing
consulting and training services, eventually working with the
Human Resources department at OneWest Bank as an
instructional designer and trainer, continuing his professional
development, earning his designation as a Senior
Professional in Human Resources with California
certification (SPHR-CA) from the Human Resources
Certification Institute. In the summer of 2012, Kevin was
hired into his current position as the HR Manager for the
Tierra del Sol Foundation.
Kevin has the skills, knowledge, drive and enthusiasm to
add value to any HR function. He provides sound business
solutions with a human touch.
•At WMC Mortgage, created a training department as the
company grew from 411 to 2,700 employees in three years, at
locations across the United States, increasing the company’s
value from $20m to over $800m.
•Trained and coached manufacturing teams building C-17
aircraft at Boeing to win the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality
Award, with one team reducing costs over 80%, by significantly
reducing labor hours required for each airship.
•Facilitated the merger of 2 U.S. Air Force launch program
offices into one, then reduced workforce by 40%, while
doubling the launch rate, while keeping quality and morale
high, while driving costs down.
•Coordinated Wellpoint’s first on-line United Way campaign,
introducing e-Pledge, at multiple sites, across the United
States, doubling the previous year total over $1.6m.
•At Blue Cross, provided Employee Relations for an 850employee client base, quickly responding to ER issues,
reducing the risks of costly lawsuits.
•Facilitated strategic planning efforts for the senior
management of the $27 billion Titan Space Launch Program,
as well as the Atlas and Delta launch programs. Saved over
$600,000 in costs over a 2.5 year period by conducting training
"in-house.”
