called SYMBOLS OF INCLUSION.
Order of Operations:
P = parentheses
E = exponents
M & D = multiply & divide
A & S = add & subtract
All expressions should be simplified in the
order shown above – working from LEFT to
RIGHT.

“Please excuse my dear Aunt Sally” or
PEMDAS
