National Student Clearinghouse
• Provides data reporting and exchange for students and schools.
• Touro University reports student data for degree seeking programs to the
clearinghouse on a monthly basis.
The Clearinghouse is used by:
• Businesses and organizations for degree verifications
• Lenders for enrollment verification
F.E.R.P.A.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974
gives students four basic rights with respect to their
education records.

The right to control disclosure of their education record
The right to review their education record
The right to request amendment of inaccurate or misleading portions of their
education record
The right to file a complaint regarding non-compliance of FERPA with the
Family Policy Compliance Office of the U.S. Department of Education

• Email address, photo, academic program
• Classification, dates of enrollment, degree conferred
• Graduation date, and honors or awards

• APPLY– please complete the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov
– School Code: 041426 (Touro University – Vallejo, CA)
• ENROLL – Students must be admitted to an eligible academic
program and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester
– Students enrolled in ‘less than’ 6 credits during a semester are
not eligible for federal financial aid.
– If a student drops below 6 credits after aid has been disbursed,
aid eligibility will be re-evaluated and aid may need to be
returned by the student.
• ACCEPT AID – Award Offer will be emailed to you with instructions.

As a TUN student, you are eligible for library privileges through the Jay Sexter
Library once you start classes
The library’s collection is mostly electronic, meaning you will have 24/7 access
anywhere with an internet connection
To receive access to the library’s resources, you must sign and return a Library
User Agreement

Your User Agreement will be mailed or emailed to you before you begin classes
When you receive your User Agreement, sign it and return it to the library
When we receive your signed agreement, we will mail or email all of the required
access information to you
