REPORT OF THE ACTIVITIES IN OCTOBER
PROGRAMME COMENIUS
3 R: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
We influence directly or indirectly on the
microclimate of home, neighborhood, city,
country.
We are not isolated, we are part of the nature.
With every action, every one of us influences
consciously or unconsciously the nature
and contributes to changes.
One of the aims in our environmental policy
is to prepare and implement a program to
reduce costs, separate collection and
recycling of waste in order to protect the
environment.
We will include initiatives to
collection for recycling, production
and dissemination of environmental
newsletters, flyers and brochures.
Our survival depends on our way of
thinking – how to recycle waste,
how to turn them into something
beautiful, how to save energy
and how to use alternative energy
sources.
For several years'' EKOPAK BULGARIA'' AD
provides all schools and public buildings free
containers with appropriate markings for
separate collection of waste.
There are such containers in our school.
The target of the project was to convince
the children in the meaning of sorting,
to teach them how correctly to use the three
colored containers and to motivate them
to be involved in the protection of natural
resources and the environment.
In October was held a school campaign
aimed at giving new life to waste
disposed of each household. In the campaign
joined students from first to eighth grade,
and children from the workshops
“The creativity of the paints”
and “Pottery and Modeling”.
With children from third grade was held interactive game
‘’ Let’s count the garbage’’ - the children made a list of
the quantity and type of waste that were disposed of
each family for one week.
1.biowaste – 35%
2. paper- 30%
3. construction waste- 12%
4. plastic- 9%
5.metal- 6%
6. other- 5%
7. glass- 3%
We will take part in the new project
of Ecocompost’’Composting at School’’,
which is aimed at all schools and kindergartens
in the country and aims to create
environmentally habits and citizenship. This
project aims to introduce composting at
school, an educational lesson by an expert an
understandable language for children and
entertaining activities and materials for the
children.
To make this process is necessary:
◦ Composting is an excellent educational topic, that
includes knowledge of the biology and natural history
and it has humanitarian and social aspect. The children
develop personal and social consciousness of the
environment, they learn to live in solidarity and
teamwork.
◦ All organic waste generated by the school will be
recovered through a natural process.
◦ Composting is an alternative to a big environmental
problem, namely the processing and recycling of waste.
◦ The finished product process is high humus and soil
conditioners for all the flowers and trees in the school
yard.
◦ The composting has no negative sides, neither
children nor the school, the maintenance is minimal.
Souvenirs, models, flowers and clothing entirely of
waste materials were made.
The students marched dressed in clothes from plastic bags and paper
