Mirasys ThruCast Direct Camera Streaming
Enterprise Feature
ThruCast allows Spotter and
Agile Virtual Matrix (AVM) to be
configured to stream video
directly from the cameras to the
client application
The recording servers will still
record the video
NOTE: Network design and bandwidth implications;
Spotter clients and AVM Display Servers require
also direct camera connectivity (need to be
on the same network, or have a second network
connection to the camera network)!

V7.3 comes initially with drivers for ACTi, Axis, Bosch,
HIKvision, Lilin, Samsung, Sony and Stanley cameras, as

Spotter Privacy Masks (“Blurring”)
Configure Spotter Privacy Masks using
System Manager (possible to add
multiple masks/areas)
Similar to configuring camera privacy
masks
If a Spotter user is not allowed to see the
footage hidden by the masks, they see it
as greyed out
This is useful when you cannot use
camera-based privacy masks, if the
complete footage must be recorded
(e.g., cash register keypads, restroom
stalls, etc.), but only suitably privileged
users are permitted to view the full
scenery, and export the materials

Spotter Infinite Master Server Reconnect
In previous Spotter releases
Spotter logs out after 30
seconds, if no connection to
Master Server (SMServer)
In 7.3.1 Spotter has a setting that allows spotter to stay open
indefinitely even without master server connection
This is useful, e.g., when using ThruCast, and one wants the
streams to remain open even when Master Server is down

Full Screen Mode Fills Screen Better Than Before
In earlier Spotter releases
there were some pixels
left in right edge and
bottom of a full screen
view
7.3.1 reduces this ”black”
border to be smaller in
both automatic and fixed
grid views
When used with fixed grid
views, the black border is
even smaller than with
automatic view
