BBIC (Boeing Believers in Christ) BBIC Pre-Amble We the members of the Boeing Believers in Christ do organize for the purpose of reaching out to our community and fellow employees through the love of Jesus Christ. To this end we will strive to uphold Biblical standards in both our attitudes and actions in our service to others. Nominations and Elections •Responsibilities – See By Laws •By Laws –arrange for the overseeing of the election process; request nomination candidates –inform members of the candidates and voting procedures at the October meeting –make provisions for absentee voting prior to the November meeting; form and distribute ballots at the November meeting; collect and tally all ballots from the November meeting –provide membership with an election report before the December meeting. •Current Members: Eric Estepp, Jayson Vincent •Near Term actions – Prepare for upcoming election Program and Planning •Responsibilities –Organize outreach events –Research community needs –Organize occasional social events •By Laws –coordinate, plan, and implementation studies and activities for approval by the Executive Board. NOTE: No study, activity, or event will be done in affiliation with the group name, Boeing Believers in Christ (BBIC), without prior approval of the Executive Board. •Current Members: –Chairperson Chris Keyes –Marie Brewer, Ettrick Lewis, Brian Higgins, Sandra Ginger, Layne Chartrand, Tammy Oates •Potential Upcoming events – St Patrick Food Center Drive – God On Trial - a debate at Powell Symphony Hall – Winter clothing drive – St. Louis Area food bank – Gateway Homeless Shelter – Habitat for Humanity – BEEP (Boeing Employees for Environmental Protection Communications •Responsibilities – Webmaster – Develop promotional items (T shirts, Banners, Flyers etc) – Advertise for activities •By Laws –responsible for the development of all promotional documents of BBIC –assure public exposure of BBIC –produce the BBIC website as approved by the President. •Current Members - Marilyn Kenton •Current Actions – WEBMASTER NEEDED!!!!! – T shirt design – Promotional items design Membership •Responsibilities – Represent BBIC at major Boeing functions (Family Day, etc) with intent of soliciting for membership – Organize fundraisers to support Outreach, BBIC needs, etc •By Laws –develop and implement programs for membership drives and fundraising events in accordance to Boeing policy and with the approval of the Executive Board. •Current Members – Denise Woods, Ettrick Lucas Bible Study/Prayer Team •Responsibilities – Support network focal for Bible study groups (concerns, help, study topics) – Intercede for company and employee / family needs – Prayer chain – Empower Bible study leaders and intercessors •By Laws – Sub committee to Program and Planning •Current Members – Tony Rangel, Brian Slack, Barb Williams, Dossie Randie, Rita Jo Dirnberger, Paul Geders, Judith Golightly, Gainell Hancock Davidson, Carol Pupillo •Current actions – Pray!!!! – Gather info on current and future Bible studies Meeting Basics •Board Meetings (Roberts Rules of Order) –Monthly –Attendees •Officers •Committee chairpersons •Club Meetings – Every other month –Attendees •All members • Next meeting time notice to go out shortly – Board Meeting next month – Club Meeting the following month Question & Answer
