There are still concerns about the economy, but small
businesses are considering a refresh of their computing
environment
Replacing older equipment can help:
1
2
3
Reduce operating
and support costs
Increase user
productivity
Enhance
network security
3
1
Refreshing desktops can reduce operating
and support costs
Older machines are slower,
break down more often and they
cost more to maintain and
power.
- Repair and maintenance can run up to 1.65x more on a PC older than 3
years1
- PCs older than 3 years are 4.5x more likely to experience a hard drive
failure1
4
2
New PCs built for multitasking can help
increase user productivity
Small businesses are efficient and
responsive - the newest and fastest
PCs can help them stay competitive
75% of small businesses cite improved
business process efficiency as a
benefit of using PCs in business.1
5
3
Refreshing can enhance network security
New computers have enhanced
security features – vital for small
businesses that need to protect
against new threats.
PCs older than 3 years can
experience up to 1.3x more
security incidents1
6
You know refreshing is important.
Now help your customers pick the right computer.
INTRODUCING THE ALL NEW
INTEL® CORE™ PROCESSOR FAMILY
The best choice for small businesses.
Faster, smarter, adaptive - that's intelligent performance.
7
The all new 2010 Intel® Core™ processor family provides
intelligent performance and efficiency
Quiz: What are the key performance benefits of
the all new 2010 Intel® Core™ i5 processor?
- Run business productivity applications 2x faster2
- Up to 30% more energy efficient vs. a 3 year old desktop
PC2
- Intel® Turbo Boost Technology speeds up the processor
when workloads require extra performance.3
- Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology allows each
processor core to work on two tasks at once.4
8
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology
Extra Gigahertz on Demand
How to Explain It:
Think of Intel® Turbo Boost Technology like the air
conditioner in a car. In normal mode, the air conditioner
delivers a certain amount of air through the dash and
floor vents. When you shut off the floor vents, it can use
the extra power to deliver more air through the dash.
In the same way, the Intel® Core™ i7 processor is
configured to deliver a certain amount of power to each
core. However, if one or more cores is not using that
power, the processor can automatically and intelligently
divert extra power to the operating core. The result is the
operating core can run at a higher than normal frequency
and complete its tasks faster.

Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology
Smart Multitasking
How to Explain It
Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology gives
customers 4-way (and 8-way) multitask
processing that allows each core of the
processor to work on two tasks at the same
time.
Like toasting two pieces of bread in a twoslot toaster instead of using a single-slot
toaster twice, you can get more done in the
same amount of time.

Buyer Objection
“I’m going to wait on buying a new PC.”
Your Response
Running older equipment can cost you.
Older equipment costs more to fix and to power,
and incurs more downtime.
Plus, it’s usually not as secure.
Upgrading is vital to every business.
23
Buyer Objection
“I’ll save on the processor.”
Your Response
The processor is the MOST IMPORTANT PART of the computer.
It is responsible for the system’s overall performance.
It is the engine that employees will rely on every day to operate
at the highest level, allowing them to work as efficiently as possible.
24
Buyer Objection
“Why should I pay more for vPro™?”
Your Response
Intel® Core™ vPro™ processors help small businesses stay safe.
Easy PC care features mean LESS INTERRUPTION
to business operations.
Our company can conduct secure maintenance, virus patch updates,
and get down systems up and running – remotely and after hours –
even when the machine is shut down!5
Your customers can see the potential savings – visit:

25
Buyer Objection
“I don’t have time or money to engage a service provider.”
Your Response
You can’t afford not to.
You don’t need to start with comprehensive PC support services. With new
Intel® Core™ vPro processor-based systems, we can offer you service when
you need it.
Hardware-based KVM Remote Control allows our company to see and
repair your company’s systems in all states, even beyond the firewall or when
the OS crashes. This can help you reduce costs and downtime, and increase
employee productivity.

5. Intel® Active Management Technology requires the computer system to have an Intel® AMT-enabled chipset, network
hardware and software, as well asi connection with a power source and a corporate network connection. Setup requires
configuration by the purchaser and may require scriptingwith the management console or further integration into existing
security frameworks to enable certain functionality. It may also require modifications of implementation of new business
processes. With regard to notebooks, Intel AMT may not be available or certain capabilities may be limited over a host OSbased VPN or whenconnecting wirelessly, on battery power, sleeping, hibernating or powered off. For more information, see
http://www.intel.com/technology/platform-technology/intel-amt/.
6. KVM Remote Control (Keyboard Video Mouse) requires the presence of integrated graphics and therefore is only available
with dual-core Intel® Core™ i5 vPro™ processors and i7 vPro™ processors.
7. Intel® IT Director utility is available for Intel® Core™2 Duo and Intel® 2010 Core™ processor-based systems. Specific
security and manageability features as well as power-efficient performance make these systems the first choice of business
customers.
8. XD Bit: Enabling Execute Disable Bit functionality requires a PC with a processor with Execute Disable Bit capability and a
supporting operating system. Check with your PC manufacturer on whether your system delivers Execute Disable Bit
functionality.
9. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is an encryption standard adopted by the U.S. government (FIPS PUBS 197,
http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/fips/fips197/fips-197.pdf. AES-NI (Advanced Encryption Standard New Instructions) is a set of
six new instructions in the Intel® Westmere-32nm architecture that is designed to consolidate the AES mathematical
operations and therefore may help speed up applications that use the AES algorithm.
10. Intel® Rapis Storage Technology: Check with your manufacture for specific features implemented in their designs.
11. Intel® Smart Cache Technology requires a PC with a processor with Intel Smart Cache capability. Intel Smart Cache
Technology performance varies depending on hardware, software and overall system configuration. Check with your PC
manufacture on whether your system delivers Intel Smart Cache Technology.
