Club), host chapter of this year’s 2014 National Convention and Tournament and celebrating our 60th

Atlantic City Country Club is one of the oldest and well-respected courses in
the United State, and is the birthplace of the term "birdie." The course has
been played by names like Slammin' Sammy Snead, Bob Hope, Arnold
Palmer, Lee Trevino, Don January, John J McDermott and Howard Everitt. The
bell located in front of the clubhouse entrance at Atlantic City Country Club
was utilized in the early 1900's to remind golfers that the final trolley was
leaving for Atlantic City, don't miss it.
Atlantic City Country Club is known for it's smooth, fast greens and top rated
playing conditions. The setting is considered to be reminiscent of Scottish and
Irish links with incredible views of the Atlantic City Skyline. Atlantic City
Country Club has hosted six USGA Major Championships. In 1911 & 12
Atlantic City Country Club Pro, John J McDermott, became the first American
to ever win a USGA Open Championship against the likes of Harry Vardon,

Renault Winery is a recognized New
Jersey State Historical site and one of
the oldest continuously operating
wineries in the United States. You will
be transported to the vineyard for a

 A little piece of History (Black History) A collector of African-American artifacts for 40
years, he showcases his finds – at least a portion of them at the museum where they join
in silent but eloquent testimony. The African American Heritage Museum of
Southern New Jersey tells the tale of a people. The museum is the ministry of Ralph
Hunter who has lived in Atlantic City since the 1950’s. While it draws many of its
materials from the seashore, the museum hardly limits its scope to the history of blacks
in Atlantic City. Its colorful assortment of paintings, poster, books, magazines, record
albums, and household items retrieved from countless sources reflects the impact of
black culture in the United States, underscoring both hardships and achievement. Icons
and stereotypes are in evident. Duke Ellington, Booker T. Washington, and Muhammad
Ali rub shoulders with Amos ‘n’ Andy, the Gold Dust Twins, Aunt Jemima, and the eagerto-please Cream of Wheat server. “He was a waiter in Chicago and had his photograph
taken,” The museum believes he was paid $5.00 by Nabisco for the use of the image.
 Ralph Hunter meant his collection to be all things African-American. His inventory of
sports vintage equipment , slave auction posters, and striking photographs of the likes of
Billie Holiday, Marian Anderson and more are on display.
