Simranjit Kaur of B.A.II and Mukul of B.Sc. II Micro (E) participated in preRepublic Day Parade.

NSS Volunteer Miss Simranjit Kaur of B.A.II participated in Republic Day
parade at New Delhi and she is the only girl who represented Chandigarh.
She also attended NSS Mega Summer Camp at Chennai in 201

College students bagged eleven first prizes, ten second prizes and twelve
third prizes in the Zonal
Two third prizes in the Inter-Zonal Youth Festival
Achievement of college students
in Sport activities session (2010-11)
Sonam Tsomo of BA-I and Rinchen Dolma of BA-II brought laurel to our country by winning
medals in “First South Asian Winter Games – 2011” .
Sonam Tsomo also clinched Three Silver Medals in 500mtrs, 1000mtrs & 1500mtrs
Rinchen Dolma fetched Two Bronze Medals in 500mtrs & 1000mtrs.
Sarita Sharma of BA-III won Two Gold, Three Silver & Three Bronze Medals in “54th National
Shooting Championship”, One Gold Medal in “20th All India GV Mavalankar Shooting
Championship” and another Gold in “All India NCC Inter Directorate Shooting
Championship”.
Our college secured Overall Championships in Chandigarh State Powerlifting &
Weightlifting and Chandigarh StateYoga Championship.
In Mountaineering & Allied Sports, Deepika of BA-III scaled Mt. Rudugara (18, 986ft) under
‘NCC – Expedition Rudugara’
Extra Curricular Activities
 Extra Curricular Activities help in honing “Soft Skills” or skills that relate
directly to social interaction, time management, public relations and
community service.
 A number of Extra curricular activities viz., Talent Hunt Competitions,
Number of IT related state level innovative competitions, Inter College &
Intra College quizzes, debates, declamations, folk song & Poetry
Recitation Competitions were held in the college during the session.
