Mother’s Day Gifts We are so excited about Mother’s Day. We are making a surprise gift for our wonderful Mother’s. Mrs. Brinlee is needing to purchase the supplies, so if you can, please send $2 with your child to school. This would be such a great help. Thank you and I hope you enjoy your gift. Spirit Store is this Friday, May 8 th. This will only be the store, no more popcorn days! We tried a fun and exciting website l at the computer lab! It is www.spellingcity.com. This is a great tool to help study your spelling words. Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach As most of you know, we are having our 2nd grade musical on May 21st! The kids are so excited. We are performing a song about Pluto. Half of the class will be in need of a Pluto costume and the other half will just be wearing normal clothes (what they wear on a regular basis). Here is a list of the assignments: Pluto’s Students Austin Adams Daniel Cook Chris Durham Taylor Mitchell Jaqueline Petermann Sarah Ziehme Angelina Zheng Madison Williams Ethan Brown Brielle Yeaman Crystal Morris Jacob Allen Olivia Leonard Natalie Briand Jaclyn Smith Nathan Goff Lyric Clayton Zac Blankenship Tyler Villanueva I am looking for volunteers who might be interested in providing the materials and making the actual Pluto costumes. I think this might be the best solution, so they look uniform. If you are interested, please send me a note or email. I will then get back with you and we will schedule a time to make the costumes. If your child is not a Pluto, they will just need to wear regular clothes. Thanks
