• 2004:The AEHT counts more than 360 schools
in 39 European countries

STRUCTURE of the AEHT
• GENERAL ASSEMBLY
• meeting once a year
• discusses and informs about the
activities
• controls the accounting
• votes the budgets
EXECUTIVE BOARD
 executes the decision of the AEHT-GA
 is composed of one representative of each member
country
 elects a President and 5 Vice-Presidents
 appoints a General Secretary and a Treasurer
 all members have access to the reports of the Board
meetings
MANAGING COMMITTEE
 Is in charge of the everyday tasks of the AEHT
The members are:

the Vice-Presidents,
the General Secretary and
the Treasurer
 The statutes and the Rules and Regulations of
the AEHT determine the tasks and
responsibilities of the members of the
Executive Board and the Managing Committee

Promoting a
European spirit
between Hotel- and
Tourism Schools
SUB-OBJECTIVES
 To serve as a communication Centre for Hotel
and Tourism Schools in Europe
 to circulate information about hotel and tourism
education and training in the European countries
 to favour students and teachers exchanges
 to create tight links between the schools and
enterprises
 to put together teaching methods, pedagogical
material, knowledge and know-how
SPECIAL FEATURES
• The AEHT includes in its activities all
the actors of the educational system:
– Headmasters
– Teachers and, above all
– STUDENTS
• offers to its members a variety of
activities to give satisfaction to every
group
