What is the e-cycle?

• • • • H ow using the e-cycle helped us in this work Provided a framework showing the links between PPE and commissioning.

Clearly identified the PPE opportunities at each stage of commissioning.

Allowed us to better understand how patient experience and feedback could feed into commissioning intentions.

Shared acknowledgement of the importance of PPI across the organisation and stakeholders including the public, patients and carers.

What difference has it made?

• Evaluated our community engagement and public and patient involvement activities.

• Launched a new branded “Healthcare in Coventry – Join the conversation”. Over 1,500 people have had their say in more innovative ways.

• A free text message service to give patients, carers and local people the opportunity to share their views and experiences.

What difference it has made

• Adverts on buses and taxies across the city.

• A new branded website plus page on Face book. • Monthly public drop in “Coffee and Conversation” events.

• This has meant that more people have been able to give their views and get involved in our work which is resulting in a much broader
