Mirroring Mode (Transactional)

 In mirroring mode, the source and target databases can be any combination of the databases listed.

 Specified records are replicated only when changes are notified (via log or triggers.)  Can be combined with Refresh replication.

Synchronization Mode (Transactional)

 In Synchronization mode, each database is both source and target.

 Specified records are synchronized based on changes notified via log or triggers.

 Physicians Associates, a medical network with over 800 physicians in San Gabriel Valley (Southern California)  Core IT system is based on IBM iSeries with DB2 databases  In-house built web-based medical management software for physician referral written in ColdFusion  Accessing DB2 directly was not offering the performance required “DBMoto is easy to use, and I got it to work on my first attempt.
