RRSD Mission
Promote the development and application of Robotic and
Remote Systems to Hazardous Environments for the purpose of
reducing hazardous exposure to individuals, reducing
environmental hazards, and reducing the cost of performing
work. This is accomplished by;

development of the master/slave manipulator,

• Reverse the slow erosion in membership by taking
advantage of the increased interest in remote
robotics that will be generated by the future
Nuclear Renaissance
– Increase awareness of Remote Robotics with
newsletter, Publications and possibly paid ads to
support ANS President’s “Get the Word Out”
– Increase 2011 Topical content and attendance
• Continue support for the student conference,
student awards and student travel to the national
meetings.
• Continue to support the national ANS initiative to
revitalize utility involvement in the ANS.
• Evaluate appropriate uses for RRSD funds.
