Proposed Itinerary
Day 1/2 - April 06, 2013 Australia - JAPAN
Travel to Japan with Qantas from Sydney. On arrival to Kansai, after immigration and customs, meet a TEI escort in
the Arrivals Hall who will escort you to the JR office where you need to exchange your rail pass voucher. They will
then escort you to where you need to meet the coach for transfer to the Hiraiwa Ryokan in Kyoto.
Day 3 Kyoto
Under Teacher's Supervision.Enjoy independent sightseeing of Kyoto with its many cultural and historical sites, or
perhaps visit Nara, site of the famous Kofuku-ji and Todai-ji Temples.
Day 4 Kyoto- Nara- Kyoto
Under Teacher's Supervision. Travel to Nara using the rail pass. Enjoy independent sightseeing of Nara.
Return to your accommodation in Kyoto.
Day 5 Kyoto- Hiroshima
Today travel to Hiroshima and enjoy a trip to Miyajima island and learn about the History of this city with a visit to
the A-bomb site with a A -Bomb Survivor testimony and Latern Floating Ceremony.
Day 6 Hiroshima- Tokyo
Today travel to Tokyo were you will spend the next 5 days staying at the Shiba Park Hotel ( subject to availability)

Enjoy independent sightseeing of Tokyo ie. the Ginza Area, Meiji Shrine, Asakusa Kanon Temple and the
Tokyo Tower.
Day 8 Tokyo
Tokyo DisneyLand!
Day 9 Tokyo
Today enjoy the Ghibli Museum!
Day 10 Tokyo
Today spend the day exploring Tokyo and surrounds !

What Can affect
the quoted price
Below are some factors that can affect this quoted price.
1)
Prepaid Airline airport taxes / levies and surcharges are changing frequently. This
component is not fixed until entire Airfare and Tax amount is paid and the group is
ticketed by the airline.

Exchange rates – all land costs are calculated in local currency. Exchange rate used in
quote 1AUD =¥80

Updated Tour Cost will be advised 3 months prior to departure – taking into account final
tour numbers, final tour itinerary, accurate exchange rate and any fluctuations in prepaid

Deposits and Payment
• In order to secure a reservation for your child on this tour please forward
non-refundable deposit of $300.00 to the school. Once all deposits are in,
and counted and if there is sufficient confirmed interest the school will
make a booking request with G.E.T.
• Once deposits are received by GET they do become non-refundable
• Speak with your school regarding payment / instalment plans, etc.,

Please note that prices are based on the exchange rate of AUD 1= USD.98 Should the number of participants change from
the above a re-cost will be necessary. Costs are subject to currency fluctuations, airline increases and seasonality changes
for 2012. This quote is valid for 7 days from date of issue.

Please note that the quote is based on twin share rooms for escorts and twin/triple rooms for students. Should the
number or mix of males/females require a different rooming configuration, please note that a re-cost will be necessary.

BOOKING YOUR TRIP
DEPOSIT
In order to secure a reservation G.E.T. requires notification of desired dates and number of students and teachers. Upon
confirmation from the airlines, we will send the school an invoice for a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 per student.
Once this deposit has been received, land arrangements will be requested.

FINAL PAYMENT
Approximately 10 weeks prior to your departure you will receive a Final Invoice. This will have an UPDATED final cost,
incorporating possible changes in exchange rates and airline and airport taxes, changes in the number of participants.

It is important to note ALL cancellations and changes must be notified to G.E.T in writing. Should a student cancel within 65
days prior to departure that student will incur a minimum fee of $300.00 per person and up to 100% of total land
arrangements and a re-cost will be necessary for remaining passengers due to drop in student numbers. Should final
payment not be received in this office on the due date it is important to note that the airlines reserve the right to cancel
seats once the airline deadline of 45 days prior to departure is reached.
Passports & Visa
• Each passenger must have a valid passport.
• Passport must not expire within 6 months of
the date of return
• Photocopy of the details page of each
passenger’s passport require as soon as
possible
• If travelling on anything other than an
Australian passport advise the school
immediately
Vaccinations /
Medical
• Please seek professional advice regarding specific vaccinations required
for this destination
• Please advise the school immediately of any existing medical concerns
(allergies, asthma, etc.,) so that a suitable management plan can be
discussed.
• Travel Insurance companies can impose additional premiums to cover preexisting medical conditions, it is your responsibility to disclose these to the
insurer using the Traveller’s Medical Appraisal Form provided and
returning this to the school with your travel insurance application form.
Further instructions will follow once your condition has been appraised by
the insurer.
Spending money

Students will need to take enough spending money to cover meals / snacks not
already covered in the itinerary along with any personal expenses (drinks, laundry,
phone calls, etc.,) & souvenirs

US Dollars and Yen are best forms of money

It is suggested to take a mix of cash (USD or Yeng), keycards / credit cards &
travellers cheques
•
Check with your bank to see if your keycard will work internationally and what fees
you will incur

ATM’s are scarce outside of the major cities you may need to carry cash with you
to the smaller towns.
Baggage and Packing

• Email – the cheapest and best way to stay in touch
What to Do Next
• You will receive a letter this evening from the co-ordinating teacher
requesting deposit payment and passport copies.
• All cheques and correspondence must be made directly to the school
• Payment schedule as outlined by the school. Final payment due to G.E.T. no
later than 65 days prior to departure
• All requests for information regarding the tour must come through the
school and the teacher in charge
