CIPM MRA
New JCRB Guidance documents
- Procedure for approval of the entry of a new RMO to
the JCRB
- Guide to the implementation of the CIPM MRA
- Calibration and Measurement Capabilities in the
context of the CIPM MRA
- Rules of procedure for the JCRB
- Guidelines on Traceability
As a consequence of CGPM Resolution in preparation
“Criteria for an Associate to become Member State”
10
CIPM MRA Guidelines for Traceability
Traceability to the SI
- through own primary methods
- or obtained from the BIPM
- or obtained from another CIPM MRA recognized NMI or
DI with adequate CMCs published in the KCDB
- or by applying commercial CRMs after own purity
assessment on the basis of own CMCs recognized under
the CIPM MRA
- in all cases an own uncertainty evaluation has to be carried
out
11
CIPM MRA Guidelines for Traceability
Traceability to the SI
- may be obtained from an under the ILAC Arrangement
accredited calibration laboratory or CRM producer,
provided that the uncertainty contribution has only a
minor influence on the total combined uncertainty of the
claimed CMC
Never traceability to:
- PTB through DKD, etc.
- UKAS, NAMAS, DKD, etc.
- GUM + Fluke Europe, etc.
- CCPR K1 (a Key Comparison) or - NRC array KJ-90, etc.
