Welcome to the fascinating
world
Of
Cloud Computing
Situation
You are away from office and the Boss calls you to
send an important paper immediately.
You are not carrying your lap top.
You can access internet from a café, but the task
is in your office PC / laptop.
--Only God can save from the wrath of the Boss.
OR…….
Or what?
• Technology, Dear Friends.
• Again welcome to the world of cloud
computing – solution to the problem that
we visualise.
• How? We will soon know. Let us first
understand the technology.
• So what is cloud computing (CC for
subsequent slides)?
Cloud Computing: Tech jargon
• Cloud computing describes both a platform and
a type of application. A cloud computing
platform dynamically provisions, configures,
reconfigures, and deprovisions servers as
needed. Cloud applications are those that are
extended to be accessible through the Internet.
These cloud applications use large data centers
and powerful servers that host Web applications
and Web services.
Cloud Computing: Lay man
funda
• Cloud computing describes how
computer programs are hosted and
operated over the Internet. The key
feature of cloud computing is that
both the software and the
information held in it live on centrally
located servers rather than on a enduser’s computer.
Cloud Computing: Players
