El futuro perfecto
Use the future perfect to indicate what
will have happened by a certain time.
Sometimes it is used to speculate about
something that may have happened.
Use future of “haber” + past participle.
Irregular past participles still apply!
Ejemplo – “terminar”
Yo
habré terminado
Tú
habrás terminado
El/ella/ud.
habrá terminado
Nosotros
habremos terminado
Vosotros
habréis terminado
Ellos/as/uds. habrán terminado
Ejemplos
A esa hora, nosotros ya habremos
salido. At that time, we will have
already left.
No sé si habré terminado. I don’t know
if I will have finished (by then).
Antes de 2020, María habrá visitado a
Francia. Before 2020, Maria will have
visited France.
“Dentro de + time”
The future perfect is often used with
“dentro de + time” to indicate a time
frame.
Dentro de cinco años, vosotros habréis
graduado de la universidad. In five
years, you all will have graduated from
college.

Speculation: use the future perfect to
talk about what may have happened in
the past.
Miguel no está aquí. ¿Qué le habrá
pasado? Miguel is not here. What
could have happened to him?
