NCAA CLEARINGHOUSE
Organization that reviews high school transcripts to
ensure students have met the academic requirements
that enable them to participate in Division I or II college
athletics.
 Division III schools have no academic requirements and
do not offer athletic scholarships.
 Clearinghouse forms must be completed during the
student’s junior and senior year. Forms should be
completed online (www.ncaaclearinghouse.net)



APPLICATION PROCESS
3 processes
The Application - paper or online
 School materials-The Transcript-request
through naviance, letters of
reccomendation. Colleges might ask you
to self report
 Test Scores-if applicable (fairtest.org);
send through collegeboard or ACT

TIMELINE






Finalize list of colleges to apply to NOW.
Begin filling out applications if you have not
started.
Request letters of recommendation NOW if you
have not done so.
If necessary, get your portfolio/audition tape
together.
Be Aware of Deadlines!

Counselor will:






Prepare and send official transcript
Send a copy of school profile
Complete a letter of recommendation
Complete and send secondary school report
form
Submit mid year report IF REQUESTED by the
student
Submit any supplemental forms requested by
the student
In Naviance Student Will:
Complete the student brag sheet
 Create a resume of activities, honors, and
work experience
 Request/ monitor letters of
recommendation
 Request transcripts following deadlinesindicate if early action or early decision


Letters of Rec and Transcripts
Student Will:
Return a signed Grade 12 Records Release
Form (green)
 Return yellow card after reviewing

10 X 13 envelope with 4 stamps for each
school that does not accept electronic
submissions
 Contact testing agency to have scores
sent to the schools in which they are
applying.

