sugarcane fields. Coconuts grow in the
east. The Cibao Valley in the center of the
country is good land for growing crops.
• Weather: The Dominican Republic is
usually warm and sunny, with a lot of rain
in the late spring and early fall months.
The higher up the mountains you go, the
cooler it gets.
