A distinct, self-contained two-year programme aimed at preparing students for adult and working life

Who would benefit most?

  Students who are not adequately catered for by the Traditional Leaving Certificate or LCVP Students who would benefit from a more practical approach than the Traditional Leaving Certificate

Points to consider before deciding to do Transition    Students know their Junior Cert results when choosing their Leaving Cert subjects Students are older and more mature: (i) doing the Leaving Cert (ii) going to college Students who do Transition Year get more points in the Leaving Cert (NCCA)
