ARTICLES FROM OTHER
LIBRARIES IN SOUTH

students who are
registered with Sabinet
as an Interlending user
• To register
• send an e-mail to [email protected] with
your title, first name, further initials, surname,
personnel / student number, telephone extension
if on campus otherwise a cell number, department
/ section and postal address if not on campus.
• or complete the online format
http://www.library.up.ac.za/vet/vetilreg.htm
• Your user ID and password will be sent to you via
e-mail within 2-3 days.
•Open up Library in your Office
(http://www.ais.up.ac.za/vet/virtlib.htm)
Scroll down to the
end
and click on
“Interlibrary Loan”
Supply
student/personnel
number and PIN for
firewall purposes and
click on SUBMIT
Select SACAT in
the JUMP TO
DATABASE
window
1. Type the journal or
book title in the
SEARCH FOR window
2. Click on
Search
14 records
are found
1-10 are
displayed on
first page.
Browse through the
displayed titles and click
on the correct title
To see
records 11–14
click on 11
Full search
results and
holdings will
appear.
Please do not
request
documents
available at
UP(VET). Our
stock is
indicated with
code : g2843
Click on
Request
Supply your User
Id and Password
(received after
registering)
Check personal
information.

Scroll down and supply
“Need by “ date (± 14
days). Please follow
example for date format
Make sure of
these two
fields
Supply bibliographic
information.
For article requests:
supply publ. year,
author, title, volume,
pages, month, etc.
Click on
Submit
A request number will be
allocated for your
convenience.If you do not get a
request number your request
was not successful. Please check
you request again
For a next request

click on New
Request
For requests from
another journal
click on New
