Homework

Big Talk for Big Write homework is sent home as a paper copy every Friday. You will also find it on the website, both on the weekly newsletter and on our class page. The topic is to be discussed ready for the following Friday. Children will struggle with their Big Write if they do not do their Big Talk homework.

Reading – children should read for at least ten minutes every day. Please write a comment in the Communication Book each time your child has read and let us know when the book needs to be changed. We will send your child’s homework folder with a Literacy and Numeracy task each week. Homework should be completed and returned, in the folder, by the following Tuesday.

Spelling – spellings related to your child’s phonics phase are sent home every Friday. • We would encourage you to help your child with their work – they may need some help reading the tasks.

• Please let us know if there are any problems .

Finally

We are here to help. Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions.
