 It is FREE
 Provides information about safety conditions in
your destination country

Standard Insurance Coverages

– MedEx Travel Assist: Eligible if you are enrolled in
basic life insurance through UO/PEBB. If you or a
dependent becomes ill while traveling 100 or more
miles from home.
– Does not cover security evacuation (war/political
unrest or natural disaster)

When “study abroad insurance” is highly
recommended:
– Traveling with students
– Concerns about destination (natural disaster,
security)
– Medical concerns/expenses (expenses may be paid
up front by this insurer)
 Economical ($1.91 per day/1 week minimum)
