Student Criteria for eligibility
 Student Behavior (ESB Policy I)
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES - Student attendance on field trips is a privilege, not a right. All students are to
understand that he/she represents Epping School District and he/she shall abide by school rules and regulations
while participating on the field trip. A field trip advisor may also impose other rules and regulations pertaining to the
field trip.
The school district reserves the right to exclude students for questionable behavior. Students serving suspension
are ineligible to participate on field trips.
Students found participating in acts of gross misconduct including, but not limited to, possession/use of drugs,
tobacco or alcohol, vandalism, theft, violence, and/or sexual misconduct will be returned home at the expense of
their parents. The district reserves the right to inspect all luggage and carry-on items prior to departure. The
district also reserves the right to pursue financial compensation from students/parents for damages that occur on the
field trip.
Students are to immediately report any misconduct mentioned above as well as acts of bullying, hazing or
harassment to the trip advisor.



Please know that students can submit PG
movies to Ms. Hebert at least 2 weeks prior to
the trip for approval.
Snack and drinks are allowed.
Per the bus company… NO CANS. All drinks
must be capped.

motorcoach for Washington, DC, area

Memorials
Anticipated time of arrival in Washington, DC area. Upon
arrival,proceed to Lincoln Memorial
Informal touring of Lincoln, World War II, Korean and Vietnam
5:00 p.m.
Board coach. Depart for Buca di Beppo, 1825 Connecticut Ave. NW,
Washington, DC 202-232-8466
5:30 – 6:45 p.m.
Dinner at Buca di Beppo
After dinner
Approx. 7:30 p.m.
Board coach. Depart for Sheraton Pentagon, 900 South Orme Street,
Arlington, VA (703) 521-1900
Check into hotel.

At Smithsonian Museums-a photo stop at White House
Note: Lunch facilities available at Air & Space Museum, Natural History
Museum and Museum of American History
3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
At United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
6:00 – 7:00 a.m.
Dinner at Hard Rock Café
After dinner
Board coach. Depart on tour of illuminated monuments and memorials
Note: Stops to be made at Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King, Jr.
Memorial and F.D.R. Memorial
Approximately
9:30 p.m. Return to hotel

Breakfast at hotel
7:15 a.m.
Hotel check out. At this time, chaperones are requested to
check all student rooms and to collect all room keys and return
them to the front desk. Load baggage on coaches.

At Arlington National Cemetery
Note: The Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns
takes place every half hour
10:45 a.m.
Return to coach. Depart for home
Note: Rest and independent dinner stops en route
9:00 – 10:00 p.m.Anticipated time of arrival in New Hampshire area
Note: All times and features on itinerary subject to change

Note: Suburban Travel & Tours is not responsible for any lost,
damaged or stolen articles of a personal nature. It is the
responsibility of each person to take care of his or her
possessions.
Please DO NOT leave cash or valuables in your room
Hotel Security will be provided from
11PM to 6AM each night.



Students will submit a suggested list of
roommates.
This list will be reviewed by staff and
necessary changes will be made.
Students will be four to a room.



Students are responsible for the upkeep of
their rooms
The names of students are tied to rooms. If
damages or additional cleanup is required
students will be billed by the hotel.
Chaperone rooms are staggered between
student rooms. Hallway meetings occur to
keep student informed.


On the bus to and from Washington DC.
Students are encouraged to pack drinks and
snacks for the bus ride and hotel room to cut
down on spending.
Wednesday at the Smithsonian Museum
Thursday at Six Flags & at National Place





Envelope System
Day 1, Day 2, etc…
Given to students each morning of the trip.
Envelopes are locked in the hotel safe
Please coordinate all money with Stephanie
Sturzo prior to May 15th if you would like to
set up an envelope system.







A WATER BOTTLE IS MANDATORY AT ALL
TIMES!
Bathing suit if he/she intends on using the
pool
2 pairs of sneakers/walking shoes
Comfortable shoes to put on at hotel
Sun screen
Hat
Comfortable sweat pants, flannel pajamas,
etc. for hotel





Cell phones, Nooks, etc. can be used during
free time. These items are not allowed during
the “instructional” time.
No Laptops, wifi will NOT be available
School dress code applies at all times.
Flip flops and sandals are NOT permitted
during touring time.
Plan for extremely hot or wet weather




A form must be submitted in order for your
son/daughter to receive medication.
All medication must be brought in its original
box or bottle.
Please have all their medication placed inside
a zip lock bag with their name in permanent
marker on the outside.
Students are not to have any medication
including over the counter medication in their
belongings.
