Sights of Great Britain The Houses of Parliament The Houses of Parliament. It is one building consisting of two chambers: The House of Commons and the House of Lords. It includes the famous Whispering Gallery and many memorials. The Tower of London • The Tower of London was built by William the Conqueror to protect the city. It served as a palace, a prison and a fortress and now it is a museum. The Eye of London • The Eye of London gives a striking panorama of London.
