• Business Analyst (Owner, Contributor): Manage the success factor identification process and organize
and facilitate the success factor workshops. Skills needed include strong communications and facilitation
skills. This individual needs to drive the process by reviewing all documentation, interpreting success factors,
setting up meetings, and facilitating in a way that drives towards success factor selection. The business
analyst should also document the results and prepare and submit the deliverable.
•Business SME (Contributor): Define the success factors. This person should work closely with the
business owner to ensure clarity and agreement.
• Steering Committee (Approver): Responsible for approving the success factors. This in important since
these factors should be the driving purpose of the entire project and if there are inconsistencies or
misunderstandings at the executive level, the project could run into serious issues with perceived success,
management support, and future budgeting.
