The Event
About the Event
CEMS-Global USA’s `Brazil International Apparel Sourcing
Show 2015’ will be the leading Apparel sourcing marketplace

B2B hub as Sao Paulo, showcasing readymade Apparel /
Garment collections from Apparel Manufacturers from all over
Asia (South Asia, South-East Asia & China) including Trims

About The Event ( Contd…)
• Brazil’s Textile Industry is termed as “a world of untapped potential”.
As one of the BRICS country, it is the 4th largest market in the world
for Textiles after US, China & Japan.
• It is now a great moment for Brazil. After Rio+20, come the World
Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016, and each time the
world's eyes will be on the host. Along with the global spotlight on
the nation, the economy is booming. Is it a great moment for the
Brazillian industry too? It depends on how you look at it. On the face
of it, the numbers say yes.
About The Event
• In 2009, Brazil imported textiles and clothing worth $2.69 billion and
$767.07 million respectively, in 2010 it rose to $3.89 billion and
$1.07 billion, in 2011 it further increased to $4.45 billion and $1.72
billion respectively and in the first nine months of 2012 it has
reached $3.30 billion and $1.64 billion, respectively. Thus making it
a very sizzling market for Textile & Apparel exports from Asia.
• Brazil – one of the `BRICS’ economies and recently overtook UK as
the world’s sixth-largest economy.
About The Event
•
Its economy is the largest of the Latin American nations and the second largest
in the western hemisphere. Brazil is one of the fastest-growing major economies
in the world. In future decades, Brazil is expected to become one of the five
largest economies in the world.
•
Brazil’s place as a leader among the world’s emerging economies was first
brought to widespread prominence with its inclusion as one of the BRIC
countries – the tag given a decade ago to Brazil, Russia, India and China

Market Entry Strategy
Success in Brazil’s business culture relies heavily upon the
development of strong personal relationships, the keystone
of productive business partnerships. In most cases, you
may need a local representative and thus should invest
time in developing relationships through frequent visits to
Brazil. It is encouraged to visit Brazil to meet one-on-one
with potential partners through which companies can meet
with potential clients, buyers or partners in personal
meetings.
It is essential to work through a qualified representative or
distributor when developing new business in the Brazilian
market. Some firms may need to establish a representative
office or joint venture in Brazil.
