PURPOSE: ANGKOR will be in the National Curriculum so
teachers who have resources and knowledge will be better
prepared to teach students and support colleagues.
DAY 1 Thur 5 Jan 2012
Depart 9:15am SQ 212
Flight from Australia with
Singapore Airlines.
Fully escorted 10 day tour.
Travel Manager will be

DAY 1 Thurs 5 Jan
Arrival and welcome drink at the 4 star
Himawari Hotel.
Day 2 Fri 6 Jan
• After breakfast you will join a guided
city tour to visit the National Museum,
the expansive Royal Palace and the
Silver Pagoda with its 5,000 silver tiles.
• Enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong
River late this afternoon.
Day 3 Sat 7 Jan
Guided tour of the infamous
Killing Fields ( Choeung Ek
Memorial) and Tuol Sleng
Genocide museum (S.21).
Visit the Russian and Central
Markets.
DAY 4 Sun 8 Jan
Domestic flight to Siem Reap.
Transfer to 4 star hotel
Paradise Angkor Villa.
Lunch in “Pub Street” and ride in a tuk tuk
(own expense)
After lunch enjoy a traditional pottery
class at the Khmer Ceramic Centre.
Late afternoon trip to the Archaeological Park
to get the three day passes – smile for the
camera! You will need these passes for entry
to the temple complexes.

Full day visiting temples
including Ta Phrom, made
famous by the movie
“Lara Croft Tomb Raider”.

You will cook your own lunch
today during the half day Khmer
cooking course.
Learn about the local produce
and bring home menus.
This afternoon teachers will join
Denis for an educational
workshop “Teaching Angkor”.
DAY 9 FRI 13 JAN
Visit Artisans d’Angkor where
the old crafts of wood and
stone carving, lacquering, silk
painting and silver plating can
be seen.
Enjoy the afternoon at leisure…
 Have a massage
 Indulge in luxurious body
treatments - you deserve it!
 Swim / shop / read a book
 Visit an orphanage

Morning trip to a silk farm
where you will see all the
processes from grub to
coloured silk cloth.
