Structure of the Skin
• Layers of the skin:
– Epidermis- outermost layer
– Dermis or corium- contains nerves, blood vessels,
sebaceous and sudoriferous glands
– Subcutaneous- layer beneath the skin

• Sebaceous or oil gland- secrete sebum

• Superficial
– Erythema, sunburn
