21 teens were killed and 120 were wounded when a suicide bomber
blew himself up outside a disco near Tel Aviv's Dolphinarium. The
terrorist mingled with a large group of teenagers, who were standing in
line. While waiting, he detonated the explosives strapped to his body.
Israel shows restraint

Two States for Two Peoples (1)
November 29, 1947: United Nations General
Assembly Resolution 181 calls for the partition of
the British-ruled Palestine Mandate into a Jewish
state and an Arab state.
The resolution is accepted by the Jews in Palestine,
yet rejected by the Arabs in Palestine and the Arab
states. Arab violence in the Holy Land breaks out
almost immediately.
May 14, 1948: Israel is founded as a democratic
state where citizens enjoy freedom without
discrimination based on religion, race, or gender.
Israel calls for peaceful coexistence with its Arab
neighbors.
May 15, 1948: The armies of five neighboring
Arab states invade the new State of Israel, which
had declared its independence the previous day.
The invasion, heralded by an Egyptian air attack on
Tel Aviv, is vigorously resisted. From the north,
east and south, the armies of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq,
Transjordan, and Egypt invade the new state.
Israel doesn’t lose the war. The
Palestinian problem is born.
A Palestinian State?
Notice:
Before the Six Day War, the Gaza Strip was
under Egyptian rule, and Judea & Samaria
(the West Bank) were under Jordanian Rule.
The Palestinians never had an autonomy in
these areas (or in any other area, for that
matter). They didn’t start an uprising against
Egypt or Jordan.
Remember, the PLO (Palestine
Liberation Organization) was
founded in 1964 -- three years
before the Six Day War. Its goal
was the destruction of the State
of Israel.
The Six Day War
Israel didn’t want this war and
was forced into it. It also didn’t
want to occupy land, and to
control another people.
But Israel won the war, against
overwhelming odds. Only
afterwards, the Palestinians
started the violent effort to gain
independence in Gaza and the
West Bank.
Two States for Two Peoples (2)
July 25, 2000 - Camp David
At Camp David, President Clinton offered a
proposal for the end of the Arab-Israeli conflict.
According to his proposal, Israel will give about
96% of the occupied territories, plus about 3% from
within Israel. The Palestinians will have an
independent state, with east Jerusalem as their
capital. Prime Minister Barak accepted the offer.
Arafat and his associates refused.
The Palestinians made no counter offer, didn’t even ask for clarifications, but simply
started fighting, bringing bloodshed and collective punishments for both Arabs and Jews.
Once again, the Palestinians were offered an independent
state alongside Israel. Once again, they refused.
World leaders, and those present at Camp David -- including President Clinton,
Dennis Ross, and James Rubin -- blamed Arafat for the failure of the Camp
David summit.

Arafat's Real Map
While talking about the imaginary
Israeli map at a press conference in
Geneva, Arafat wore another map
sewn on his sleeve - the map that is
part of the PLO official emblem.
Arafat always wears this map on
his uniform. It is also the symbol
which appears on PLO stationary,
including the official copies of
Arafat's speech distributed in
Geneva. In fact, it is the map which
appears on the official emblem of
all PLO factions.
That map shows the borders of the
intended "State of Palestine ",
revealing the PLO's intentions to
replace the entire State of Israel,
including Tel Aviv, Haifa, and
Jerusalem, and not only the
administered areas of Judea,
Samaria and Gaza.
The PLO Method - The Big Lie
It is an illustration of a propaganda method practiced
repeatedly by Arafat - the bigger the lie and the more
often it is repeated, the more people will be misled.
Against the Big Lie there is only one defense - the
Truth.

Arafat - What’s in a man’s mind?
In September 1993, former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak
Rabin and Arafat signed the Oslo accord, which heralded
mutual recognition and the decision of the two sides to
abandon the armed struggle and settle their differences by
peaceful means. Some seven years later, at the Camp David
summit, it became apparent that the diplomatic effort had not
borne fruit. Instead of trying anew to exhaust the political
channel, Arafat turned to terrorism. Since then, there have
been repeated efforts to put an end to the cycle of violence,
without success.
Unfortunately, it seem like Arafat didn’t make the change,
from a terrorist to a head of state. It can be said, that Arafat
didn’t take off his uniform, and not only metaphorically.
He didn’t take off his uniform when he
signed the peace agreement with Israel.
He didn’t even take off his uniform when
he received a Nobel prize for peace.

The Palestinian official
television is supported by the
U.S.A. and the E.U.
Consider the case of Ikrama Sabri. In July 1997, Sabri called openly for violence against Israeli Jews
- “colonialist settlers who are sons of monkeys and pigs.” He beseeched Allah to “take revenge” on
them (and, for good measure, to “destroy America, for she is ruled by Zionist Jews”).
Last summer, the mufti whipped up a frenzy over the prospect of Jews praying on the Temple Mount.
Any ''Jewish prayer,'' he threatened, would mean “massacres the magnitude of which only Allah
knows ... massacres and rivers of blood.” The reaction of the Palestinian Authority? It published
Sabri's words in Al Hayat Al Jadidah, the official Palestinian newspaper.
The mufti's blind hatred of Jews is echoed over and over, in every Palestinian venue and medium.
Turn on the TV - a sheik offers “blessings to whoever saved a
bullet to put in a Jew's head.” Open the mail - a letter from Arafat
praises the Tel Aviv disco terrorist as a “model of manhood and
sacrifice.” Send a child to one of the Palestinian Authority's
summer camps and he learns that murdering Jews will assure him
a place in heaven. Click on the web site of Arafat's PLO faction
(www.fateh.net) and read how the killing must continue until “the
Zionist state is demolished.”

Attack on America
In a horrific suicide attack against the United States, terrorists crash
commercial passenger jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon,
killing thousands of innocent people.
The world is in shock
But amid the shock, rises the human instinct to do something. In Israel, within hours of
the attack, citizens spontaneously line up to donate blood, light candles, grieve the
dead, and fly the American flag. A national day of mourning is declared as all Israeli
flags are lowered to half mast, in respect and sympathy for the American tragedy. The
Israeli government is among the first to offer a search and rescue team to help with the
rescue efforts. Streets in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem are renamed “Pentagon Rd.” and
“New York St.”.
But some people did not grieve
While in London, Ottawa, Tel-Aviv and Moscow tens of
thousands mourn, gave blood and participated in support rallies,
in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Lebanon thousands of
Palestinians danced and celebrated, chanting “God is Great”,
firing in the air and handing out sweets.

and their good works, from their joys and
their melancholy -- these Americans, whose
final agonies were celebrated in the streets
of Palestine and elsewhere in the Arab

have none. They enter our history books as
the involuntary but decisive instruments of a
great and chastening lesson: that there is true
evil in the world and that this evil cannot be
placated. It must be fought and, sadly, it
must be fought continuously and fiercely.”

Every decent, honest person should ask
WHY?
Why are these people celebrating the death of so many innocent
people? How can they be so happy just because American citizens die?
Where does this hatred come from
?
This hatred was raised and nurtured for many years by
poisonous incitement in the Palestinian education and media.
Arafat’s incitement against America should not come as a
surprise. It is nothing new. During the Gulf War, in 1991,
Yasser Arafat was Saddam Hussein's biggest supporter.. In the
West Bank and Gaza thousands of Palestinians marched in
anti-U.S. rallies and called on Hussein to destroy the U.S.
Arafat’s legitimacy was hurt due to his support of Saddam
Hussein. He learned his lesson… After September 11th,,
when he saw his people dancing in the streets and knew how
terrible it would look in the press of the free world, he stated
that he was “shocked” by what happened in the U.S. The
Palestinian Authority threatened AP and Reuters journalists
and warned them not to broadcast these images, saying they
could not be held responsible for the journalists’ life and
safety if they were to do so. . .
With his cynical manipulations of the world media, Arafat reached
new depths.
He donated blood for the American
victims.
Well, he didn’t REALLY donate
his blood, but the world media got
a great show.
The truth is that his blood was spilled right after it was drawn. Since
Arafat takes a lot of medications, if his blood had been sent to the
U.S., it would have been considered a biological attack…
But as a media gimmick, it was a big success for Arafat.
Americans are asking “Why do they hate us?”
They hate what they see right here in this chamber: a democratically elected
government. Their leaders are self-appointed. They hate our freedoms: our freedom
of religion, our freedom of speech, our freedom to vote and assemble and disagree
with each other.
They want to overthrow existing governments in many Muslim countries such as Egypt,
Saudi Arabia and Jordan. They want to drive Israel out of the Middle East.
They want to drive Christians and Jews out of vast regions of Asia and Africa.

The use of children
PA Summer Camps…
The appearance of Palestinian
children in these riots is not
accidental. The Palestinian Authority
has intentionally mobilized
Palestinian children to man the front
line in its struggle against Israel,
frequently using them as shields to
protect Palestinian gunmen. This
mobilization of Palestinian youth
has, moreover, been facilitated by
the long-term impact of Palestinian
Authority (PA) curricula,
government-controlled media, and
summer camp programs, which
indoctrinated the youth for armed
confrontation with Israel even prior
to the current crisis.

The Palestinian Authority’s schoolbooks
Peace with Israel is not presented as a goal or discussed as an
opinion in the texts. The peace process is not even referred to in the
schoolbooks. The Oslo accords are mentioned once, but they are not
defined as a peace process, rather, as a point in time connected to the
PLO’s return to “Palestine.”
The books do not define the problem in terms of the West Bank and
Gaza Strip, the territories administered by Israel since 1967 and
perceived by the international community to be the essence of the
Palestinian problem. The PA is teaching their children that the
Palestinian problem is not Israel’s control over the West Bank and
Gaza, but Israel’s existence.

The conclusion I drew is that in fact
he [Arafat] really can't do a
permanent deal. He could never do
better than what Clinton put on the
table [the bridging proposals
presented at the end of December],
and he couldn't accept that.

Israel wants nothing more than PEACE, and is willing

Israel is the only country in the world which protects itself against suicide bombers
seeking its very destruction. The Basques in Spain or the IRA in Ireland don’t use
suicide bombers, nor do they declare that they seek to destroy Spain or England.
Israel is not a colonialist country. It didn’t go to look for new land, far
away in Africa or the Far East, like European countries did, to conquer. Israel is
protecting itself, the only Jewish state. Israel is not fighting for distant strategic
interests, like the U.S. in Iraq, or for territory, like the Russians in Chechnya. Israel
is fighting to secure the life of its citizens and its existence against an enemy
bent on its destruction.
These are the people
who want the
destruction of Israel.
They are dangerous,
not only to Israel, but to
the entire free world.
If the Israelis were able to trust Palestinian
intentions, they would be willing to evacuate the
territories and focus on developing their country
within agreed boundaries, on the basis of the
Green Line. This is not happening, to a large
extent, because of the Palestinian behavior. Arafat
and his people are threatening Israel's very
existence (their demand for exercising the right of
return) and with their actions, they are illustrating
the inherent aggression of their approach and the
inability to rely on their promises.
Under these circumstances, the Israeli public's
stormy mood at the sight of the spilled blood in
Jerusalem should come as no surprise to anyone.

On May 7, 2001, Israeli patrols discovered a
vessel loaded with weaponry bound for a
PA-controlled port. Furthermore, it was
discovered that this was at least the third
time that particular vessel had made a
weapons drop in the area.
The weapons ranged in destructive power
from Hungarian Kalashnikov assault rifles
and ammunition to SA-7 Strella missiles
and 107 mm Katyusha rockets with fuses,
anti-tank mines, and RPG charges. Other
weapons found on the Lebanese ship are
powerful enough to strike at Tel Aviv.
Under the Oslo accords,
the PA is forbidden to
have mortars or rockets.
