A semester where you have to adjust to a new
environment and have to manage with a lot of care;
hard-work, deep understanding of concepts,
proper prioritization, skillful time management
are the key
Consult the faculty advisor and/or DCC in case of
any difficulties; Do not hesitate to seek help
You can take a well deserved break from
December 13 until December 31st;
You have to be here positively by January 1st

January First Week: Choose courses for your
second semester; Actively consult faculty advisor;
Keep in mind minimum requirements in
Groups A, B, C
February – March 2012: Choose your project
and select your project advisor (who will take
Over as your faculty advisor from May 1, 2012)

Expected to work on your project work for two
out of three months; you can take off for one month;
Literature review and start exploring the project
Internships not encouraged unless perfectly
aligned with your project work;
Consent of faculty advisor required for applying
for internships

M.E. PROJECT
Rigorous investigation into an
important, topical, non-trivial problem,
leading to new knowledge,
a new methodology, novel algorithms,
or a significant tool
The best outcome would be at least
one paper in a highly rated publication forum
- your ticket for getting an S grade
