CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN:
INSTITUTIONS
• Chapter recruits new institutions year round:
– Campaign runs June 1 – May 31.
• No need for special application, chapter automatically
receives credit for new recruits.
• Chapter gets a $100 rebate for banks recruited June
through January and a $50 rebate for banks recruited
February through May.
• Chapter gets a $100 rebate for banks that renew in the
second year.

Chapters will receive a
monetary rebate based
on net percent increase
in total individual
members:
10–19.9% = $200
rebate.
20–30% = $300
rebate.
2–9.9% = $100

• Request a nonmember institutional list from RMAHQ
• Pass the list around to all board members to see if
anyone has a key contact at any of these institutions
• Ask board members to help solicit nonmembers
• Develop a board competition to see who can bring in the
most nonmember institutions
• Get your regional manager involved.

MEMBER RETENTION
• Get Organized!
– Develop a membership committee (not just a chair).
– Create a retention strategy.
– Brainstorm with the board to come up with responses to many
common concerns about the cost and benefits of membership.
– Establish an Ambassador Program.
– Utilize the Membership Toolbox.
– Contact other Chapters for ideas and suggestions.
– Track your successes and failures to constantly streamline the
process.
