RENOVATION EFFECT ON BUILDING ENERGY
PERFORMANCE INDICATOR

The estimation of possible energy saving measures is
included into the requirements The National Building
Code (NBC) Energy Performance Of Buildings.
Certification Of Buildings Energy Performance.

The building energy performance certification client is
given with certificate additionally the calculation results of
possible energy saving measures effect to the improvement
of the building energy performance. The special
calculation sub-section is included into The calculation
program, compiled to the NBC.

INPUT DATA :
 Heated area 2700 m2;
 Window area 15% from heated area;
 Ventilation natural;
 Domestic hot water supply from substation in
building with manual control;
 Temperature control in heating system is absent;
 Heat source: district heating (manual control).

ENERGY PERFORMANCE CLASS AND ENERGY
CONSUMPTION LEVEL
Better
insulation of roof and walls in big apartment
buildings provides significant energy savings, as well as
energy performance indicator value growth up by the
class.
Impact of better windows and door in energy
performance is less significant, in most of cases this
measure do not change the energy performance class of
the building, both for family houses or apartment
buildings.
 The designers and investors shall be immediately
introduced to the energy performance certification and
the impact of various energy saving measures on energy
consumption.
Thanks for attention !
