Pre Health Club
What is Pre-Health Club?
Student-led organization on NC State's campus that was founded with the purpose of providing its
members with the skills and opportunities to enhance their academic, networking and clinical skills in
pursuit of a health-related profession.
Includes:
(a) 6 special interest groups: Medical/Podiatry, Dental, Optometry, Pharmacy, PA/Nursing, PT/OT,
(b) The NCSU HOSA Chapter
(c) and two honor societies AED (pre-health/pre-medical) and DDS (pre-dental) Honor Societies.
8 points each semester to be considered "active" club members - these points come from
attending meetings, participating in service projects sponsered by Health PAC and in conjunction with
individual interest groups and from attending events supported by Health PAC and the club and
announced on the listserv as "point events"

before both clinics. Sign ups are on a first come first serve basis and spots are
limited. Do Not Sign Up Unless you know that you can volunteer for the Entire
Day (6:00 am-7:00 pm on Fridays and 6:00 am until pack up is completed on
Saturday)
Delta Delta Sigma Pre-Dental Honor Society
● 2014-2015 DDS pledge applications due at October 20th DDS
meeting (Bostian 2722, 5:45-6:45 pm)
● Application Requirements
o Must have sophomore status (30 credits)
o Have at least a 3.5 GPA
● During Pledge Semester
o Accumulate 12 PHC points
o Submit an application for review (due at the October 20th DDS meeting)
o Participate in at least one of two service projects
o Participate in at least two of three social events
o Attend and stay for the duration of all DDS and Pre-Dental Club meetings

● Bowling Night at The Alley on Hillsborough! Monday,
October 20th, from 8-10pm. $5 unlimited bowling with
shoes included.
● Chipotle dinner! This is what you all overwhelmingly
voted for! Monday, November 10th from 5-7pm. Meet
us at Chipotle.
● Second QPR suicide prevention training Monday,
November 3rd, 6-7pm. Limited to 30 spots. Sign up

UNICEF-ELIMINATE
ELIMINIATE is a project of UNICEF that aims to
prevent Neonatal and Maternal Tetanus by providing
vaccines ($1.80 per vaccine). This disease causes
death in infants within four days of birth, and causes
the baby agony when touched.
