QOF Calculator Why Change QMAS system difficult to maintain Down time when new releases required QMAS support contract ended 30/9/2010 Scottish Requirements were not being catered for under existing contract England developing new QMAS which is unlikely to be in place until 2012/2013 England looking to develop the GPES data extraction system which would not compatible with Scotland’s infrastructure Cost QOF Calculator Benefits Practices Health Boards Windows based system Easy to use Works with existing GP Clinical Systems Access and availability improved Local password control Results easy to understand Comparison to local/national averages Integrated help text Improved reporting capability Ability to monitor practice submissions Calculations simplified and transparent Design local reports improved access to data Electronic data feeds Simplified adjustment routines Flexibility to cater for future developments QOF Calculator Structure Data reported at four levels GP Practice Community Health Partnership NHS Board Scotland Timetable Initial QOF phase 1 released August 2010 for detailed year end testing QOF phase 2 released for testing September 2010 Live implementation by late October 2010 Regional training events organised for early November QOF phase 3 release of background process enhancements Once system live and fully operational, move to v17 rule set. Implementation Processes All practices will be provided a URL for QOF Calculator which will direct users to the front end system access QMAS users will be set up within QOF Calculator with the same USER ID Access passwords will be emailed to users after training Practices will re-enter non-clinical information Data Migration System will be populated with the 2010/2011 monthly QOF submissions The 2004-2010 monthly reports will be migrated from QMAS by January 2011 All Year end achievement reports from 2004 to 2010 will be migrated onto the new system by January 2011 Access to historical Achievement reports not yet signed off QOF DATA FLOWCHART Other Data GP Practice PMSPS QOF Calculator NHS Boards CHI
