Project Description







The Administrative Support Building will provide office space for
occupants currently located on the Main Campus and various lease
sites, as well as new incremental space to support institutional
growth projections. Phase I constructs the shell and core of the new
944,000 gross square foot building. Phase I includes the tenant
build-out of approximately 502,000 gross square feet, with the
remaining space shelled for future tenant build-out.

Phase II & Data Center – Project Description

Phase II is the tenant build-out of approximately 260,000 gross
square feet of the previously constructed core and shell space
from Phase I.

The Data Center Expansion will be a data center facility of
approximately 25,000 square feet. The project scope includes
MEP systems with N+1 redundancy. The MEP systems include
the chillers, CRAC Air units, pumps, generators, raised flooring,
cable management system, security, UPS, electrical switch gear,
power distribution units, fire suppression FE-25 system and
monitoring. The final cost projections will be determined by the
institutions space requirements of MEP supported raised floor
infrastructure. The project does not include computer equipment
(servers) or furnishings. The project does not include the cost for
fiber routing to other facilities.

Phase III –Project Description

Phase III is the tenant build-out of approximately 167,000 gross
square feet in the previously constructed core and shell space from
Phase I. Phase III will also accommodate administrative groups
from faculty office buildings to allow for expansion of faculty office
space in those buildings

Project Description
The construction of the new Administrative Support Building requires
additional parking on the mid-campus land. This project constructs a
new parking facility for approximately 2,000 vehicles.

Project Description
The extension of Bertner Avenue from Braeswood Boulevard to Old
Spanish Trail will be a four lane street with non-striped bike lanes, a
median, and traffic signal at OST. All public and private utilities, which
includes an M. D. Anderson telecommunication ductbank, are being
designed to support a full build out of the Mid Campus and connection to
the South Campus. The road and infrastructure are being designed by
Walter P. Moore for M. D. Anderson, but will be built and maintained by the
City of Houston. To accomplish the realignment, M. D. Anderson and the
City of Houston are entering into a right-of-way exchange and will share
funding.
