They can either be beneficial or harmful to these various ecosystems, or they may have no impact at all. The use of various types of bacteria in biotechnology demands for their rapid and accurate identification. Therefore, this workshop is aimed to provide handson training on molecular techniques for bacterial identification. Objectives • To provide participants with the knowledge in nucleic acid- and protein-based techniques for the identification of bacteria. • To provide a hands-on experience in the identification of bacteria using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), RFLP and automated DNA sequencing. Registration Form The four-day workshop program includes lectures and hands-on training sessions on: • nucleic acid extraction Prof./Dr./ Mr./ Mrs./ Ms.: _________________________________ • polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA sequencing Position: _________________________________ • RFLP analysis Address: _________________________________ _________________________________ _________________________________ _________________________________ • identification of bacteria through bioinformatics Participants Members of the scientific community who are interested to learn and gain experience in bacterial identifications through molecular techniques.
