Come to the C.O. before school, at lunch, or after school. 2. Write name and room number on counselor appointment sheet. 3. Attend class and wait for yellow pass from counseling office. Reminders: • • Do not sign up during P.E. class Counselors are also available at lunch time for quick questions Credits • 5 credits per class each semester. Minimum passing grade for credit is “D” • Students should strive to earn 30 credits each semester / 60 credits each year. • Colleges require “C” or better in most subjects Grading Periods 1st Quarter – Ends Nov. 13th 1st Semester – Ends Jan. 29th 3rd Quarter – Ends April 2nd 2nd Semester – Ends June 24th •Quarters are 10 weeks •Semesters are 20 weeks •Only Semester Grades (Jan. & June) go on transcript, except P.E./Athletics High School Graduation Requirements 220 total Credits 6 semesters of composite satisfactory or excellent citizenship High school exit exams Math – 20 credits Science – 20 credits English – 40 credits Social Sci. – 30 credits Physical Ed. – 20 credits Fine Art – 10 credits or Foreign Lang. – 10 credits Health - 5 credits Electives – 75 credits Academic Support (Where to go for help) Talk to your teacher 2.
