ENERGY EFFICIENCY GOALS

Reduce energy and water use at all campuses Upgrade plumbing, windows, heating, and air conditioning for greater efficiency Save general fund dollars that can be used to support classrooms

GREEN INITIATIVE PROJECTS

Solar panels at 7 schools Solar tubes and natural lighting Reclaimed water for irrigation Waterless urinals Upgrade heating and air conditioning System wide usage monitoring

ENERGY SAVINGS

District currently spends approximately $1 million on electricity and $200,000 on water use every year. Solar panels and more efficient heating and air conditioning will cut total energy costs by at least 60%.

Reclaimed water should cut water use by 50% Total annual savings to District = $700,000 Can be used to keep class sizes small!
