Begin with broad options and then narrow down.

Prioritize the type of housing you want to live in.

Develop a financial budget for rent, utilities, food, transportation, entertainment and
emergency costs.

Consider what types of transportation are available and convenient.

Research the area’s safety by looking up area crime statistics.

Look before you lease.
