A* ‐ G will be replaced by 9 ‐ 1 English & maths will be numbered whereas all other subjects will still be lettered (all other subjects will follow in 2018) We cannot change this – you will receive a mixture of results on results day We are informed that: - The bottom of new grade 7 equates to the bottom of grade A - The bottom of new grade 4 equates to the bottom of grade C We anticipate that a grade 5 will come to replace what is currently considered to be a ‘good pass’ or C grade.

Ask what he / she enjoys doing and what he / she are good at Refer to his / her evaluation booklet and report Discuss his / her interests - Other cultures / languages - Writing projects - Helping people - Being outdoors or designing things Discuss what he / she enjoys - Working things out - Practical activities - Painting / drawing / performing
Teachers will have a good idea of what students can do with their particular subjects – go and talk to them! It’s very important that students make the effort to speak to their teachers to gain a clear understanding of whether they are suitable for the subject.
