YOU ARE THE
LIGHT OF THE WORLD
A presentation based on Matthew 5:13-16
Prayer
I want to walk as a child of the Light, I want to
follow Jesus … Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus.
Lutheran Service Book (LSB), 411, St. 1 beginning, & ending of Refrain
Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the world and the
Light of life. By Your Holy Spirit and in reflecting
the face of our Heavenly Father, help us be “little
Christs.” Cause us, Your Church, Your faithful
followers, to reflect Your light and be acolytes of
hope in a sin-darkened world. Give us boldness in
word and deed to let the Gospel rays shine into the
hearts of those about us, especially those caught
in the darkness of sin and despair. Give us grace
to shine for You, O great Redeemer. Amen.
