Four Health Clinics staffed by nurses, offering the
following by appointment on specific days:-
Hypertensive / Diabetic clinic





Blood pressure and blood sugar screening
Weight, height and body mass index (BMI)
Foot inspection
Advice and referral
Nutrition and dietary counseling
Child health clinic
for under fives
 Weight and height
 Health review
 Nutrition / health counseling
 Immunization
 Developmental assessment
Reproductive health
 Antenatal/Postnatal clinic
 Family planning
 Free pap smears by
appointment
 Breast examination
 HIV counseling and
testing
Other clinic services
 Dressings three days per week
 Treatment of minor ailments
 District Medical Officer’s clinic (strictly by
appointment)
 Eye care and other specialist Clinics (occasional)
 Hearing Testing
Outreach activities
 Home visits to housebound elderly, antenatal,
postnatal, clinic dropouts
 School Health Program
 Nursery schools and day care centre visits for rapid
inspection

 Free dental treatment for children, over 60’s and
other exempt groups (Montserratian)

 Information and education on healthy lifestyles and other
health issues, including weekly radio programme

promotion of positive good health
 Coordination of inter-sectoral health activities

persons with mental health problems
