Electrostatic painting is a spray process of applying liquid paint coatings to metal. Atomized paint particles are positively charged and are drawn to the grounded metal object. Atomization occurs due to centrifugal force rather than air assisted. A variety of paint coatings can be applied electrostatically including two-component epoxies, poly-urethanes, and fluoro-polymers.
