NCRM Aims
The NCRM is funded by the ESRC for an initial 5
year period.
The specific aims of the NCRM are to:
• Improve the quality and range of methodological
skills and techniques used by the UK social
science community – both qualitative and
quantitative
• Provide support for, and dissemination of,
methodological innovation and excellence in the
UK

NCRM objectives
The NCRMs aims are to be achieved by:
• A programme of research aimed at
supporting methodological innovation
• A programme of methods training and
capacity-building events across the UK
• The provision of on-line resources
All activities are aimed at strengthening and
updating researchers’ skills, knowledge
and practice across the social sciences
