What is the Centennial Service Challenge?
• An initiative beginning in July 2014 to celebrate Lions’ 100 years of
service
• Challenges clubs to participate in all four Global Service Action
Campaigns:




Engaging Our Youth – August
Sharing the Vision – October
Relieving the Hunger – December/ January
Protecting Our Environment – April
• Will benefit 100 million people by December 2017
• Patches will be awarded at the end of each fiscal year

Club Banner Patches
• Clubs must:
 Report activities related to the GSAC
 Use the Lions Online Service Activity Report (SAR)
• Patches are based on number of campaigns types reported
• One patch per fiscal year
Different border color for each year
Number and type of gem stone to recognize level of participation

Recognition/Awards
District Level Banner Patch
• Awarded one patch to district each fiscal year
• 50% or more of clubs in a district report participation in two or
more GSACs
