The E111 is the certificate that entitles you to treatment that becomes necessary during your visit to the EEA or Switzerland. We recommend that all your students obtain a European Health Insurance Card (new name for the old E111) before travelling. If a students needs medical treatment while abroad, they will be treated for free rather than having to pay and claim the money back afterwards.
