It talks about the right of men and how being in agreement with the constitution states. It also opens up ideas of Christianity being kept away from the slaves because kindness and equality is more important according to him. Dessaline made himself ruler. We don’t think it was successful because even though they got their independence and abolished slavery they’re the poorest country in the western hemisphere.
