Nemzeti Pályaorientációs Tanács (NPT) – Hungarian LLG Council
The Hungarian LLG Council is a tripartite body. It has 13 members; within 25% are
non-governmental organizations The Hungarian VET and Adult Education Council
decided about the establishment of the NPT in January 2008. The Council main role
is consultation; it is also responsible for the development of cooperation mechanism
at national and regional levels. Seven Regional VET and Development Councils
have 1-1 delegates whose are responsible for LLG issues. NPT also supervise the
national LLG system development program (SROP 2.2.2. phase I.). NPT source of
funds guarantee by the Hungarian Labour Market Fund in biannual bases. Head
office of the Hungarian PES within these 2*2 years national contracting period
(National Employment and Social Office) is responsible for the secretariat of the
Council

The main tasks carried out to date
(including ICT where this has been a significant focus)
•Information gathering from the different subsystems in the field of career
guidance and counselling,
•Professional supervision of the national LLG system development,
•Develop the national network of trained career counsellors and other related
professionals (ie. teachers, social workers etc.)
•Disseminate the outcomes of the ELGPN work,
•Analyzing the Hungarian educational and labour system for the further
development of LLG,
•Fostering researches in the field of LLG (ie. evidence based practice, financing,
reregulation of the system etc.)
